Wayne’s Wings
We discovered this restaurant back in 2018, but boy, has it grown! The Texas Honey Bee flavor was what excited us the most. I’m a sucker for a sweet and spicy wing sauce, and this one checks all the boxes. Chili sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes create a sticky sauce with a punch!
This restaurant is definitely a local hot spot. We stopped by on a Saturday evening hoping to dine in, but every seat in the house was taken. Instead, we placed an order online and explored the area instead. They were extremely busy and we waited over an hour for our order. The head chef was extremely kind, which made it easier to give the staff grace (I have a deep respect for service workers). Honestly, I was okay waiting because I’m proud to see a Black-owned business thriving like Wayne’s Wings!
The Philly fries were delicious, but we all preferred the simplicity of the garlic Parmesan seasoned fries! They were crispy, fluffy, hot, and flavorful. These potato wedges were the perfect way to complement the bold flavors of the wing sauce without overpowering the meal.
The wings were massive, breaded, crispy, saucy, and fresh. Wayne’s Wings is easily worth the wait, although I probably will avoid eating there on a Saturday night. I’m looking forward to trying Wayne’s funnel cake wings next time!
