Chaos, Comfort, and a lil’ Something Sweet

While most millennial kids were watching SpongeBob, I was studying Rachel Ray, Buddy Valastro, Ina Garten, and of course, my grandma. I took Culinary Arts in high school and immediately realized I wanted to become a pastry chef. Johnson & Wales is where I thought I’d be continuing my education after graduation, but life had other plans. Long story short: I fell in love.

Short story long: Me and my boyfriend were dating for just two and a half months before he came home from basic training with orders to Japan. Naturally, I presented him with two choices: we either break up or get married. And 25 days after turning 18, I spontaneously married the guy I barely knew. Now, I’m an Army Wife.

Twelve years later, I'm sitting in my living room watching Bluey while my competitive daughter, and thrill-seeking son do parkour on the trampoline I purchased from the TikTok shop. Papa lies close by, loudly listening to a YouTube video. While my dog is, of course, barking... because she truly hates when my kids have joy. Me? Overstimulated per usual, but using this moment as my muse. You know what they say, strike while the iron is hot!

I'm a Housewife by trade— but I'm also a non-practicing licensed esthetician, with a certificate in event planning, and a bachelor's in communications. I even took a few courses towards a game development degree before taking a step back. I quickly realized I was doing way too much, and somehow not enough. My enneagram 6w5 regularly convinces me I'll never have enough knowledge and skills, so I collect accolades like Infinity Stones.

Imposter Syndrome once prevented me from actually doing the thing I’ve always wanted to do: bake. So, I’ve finally decided to finally jump in the ring instead of watching from the sidelines. Now I’d like to document and share what I’ve learned. Tranquil Trophy Wife is a safe space for the overworked, non-esthetic scrunchy moms with bare walls and affordable, yet mismatched, cookware that are trying their best. Welcome home girl, I saved you a seat!
